Stretch It Out: A Gentle Routine to Reset Body and Mind

Stretch It Out: A Gentle Routine to Reset Body and Mind

Sometimes the most powerful thing you can do is slow down.

Stretching isn’t just about flexibility. It’s about presence. Reconnection. Releasing what your body quietly carries—from stress to stiffness to stories you didn’t know you were holding.

This is your invitation to pause. To breathe. To soften.

Whether you’ve just finished a workout or you’re shaking off a long day at your desk, this gentle full-body stretch routine is designed to open, ground, and restore.

Before You Begin

You’ll need:
– A yoga mat or soft surface
– 10–15 minutes
– A few deep breaths

Wear something easy. Our soft flared pants and loose-fitting tees are perfect for this kind of mindful movement.

The Routine

1. Cat-Cow (1 minute)
Start on hands and knees. Inhale, arch your spine and look up (cow). Exhale, round your spine and tuck your chin (cat). Repeat slowly to warm the spine.

2. Forward Fold (1 minute)
Stand tall, then hinge from the hips to fold forward. Let your arms dangle or grab opposite elbows. Bend knees slightly. Breathe deeply into your hamstrings.

3. Seated Twist (1 minute each side)
Sit cross-legged or with legs extended. Inhale to lengthen your spine, exhale to twist to one side. Use your hand behind you for support. Repeat on the other side.

4. Low Lunge with Side Stretch (1 minute each side)
Step one foot forward into a lunge. Reach arms overhead and gently lean toward the bent knee side. Feel the stretch in your hips and waist.

5. Child’s Pose (2 minutes)
Kneel, bring big toes to touch, and fold forward with arms outstretched or tucked. Let your body melt toward the floor.

6. Supine Figure-Four (1 minute each side)
Lie on your back. Cross one ankle over the opposite thigh and draw legs in. This opens the hips and lower back.

7. Reclined Butterfly (2 minutes)
Bring soles of feet together and let knees fall open. Place one hand on your heart, the other on your belly. Breathe. Just be.

In Conclusion

Stretching isn’t just a post-workout step—it’s a return to your body. It’s how we create space. Move energy. Restore balance.

Even five minutes a day can shift your whole nervous system. Let this be your ritual of softness in a world of grind.
